One day, you wake up in a windowless room you’ve never seen before,
surrounded by six strangers who have never met one another.
The only door is locked tight.
“On the count of three, let’s scream for help.”

NTCK Theater for Young Audiences
Room 19
One.
Plot Twists, Truth, and What Lies Beyond the Locked Door
The stage becomes a sealed room filled with only the rawest, most unfiltered emotions and stories of youth. Fear and curiosity erupt as a group of strangers find themselves trapped for reasons they cannot fathom, sparking pulsating moments of competition and solidarity for survival. Their blunt words and unguarded feelings collide again and again, shaping a vivid portrait of young people today. Before long, you’ll find yourself breathing with them and running alongside them to unlock that door.

Two.
Young People Telling the ‘Real Story of Youth’
Hailed by young audiences during its first showcase as “the most realistic play about today’s youth,” Room 19 returns as a fully realized production—this time even more tightly honed than before. The unmistakable pacing of director Kim Sue Hee, winner of the 2024 Baeksang Arts Award for Best Play, further heightens both tension and immersion. Seven accomplished actors—Na Yoon-hee, Ahn Byeong Chan, Lee Seo-do, Lee Ju-hyung, Jang Seok-hwan, Jang Yo-hoon, and Cho Soo-jae—bring sharply distinct portrayals of youth, each with their own intensity and edge.

Three!
Which Room Are You in Right Now?
Anyone who feels trapped in their own room must confront this question—whether it’s Room 19, Room 29, or Room 41. Room 19 isn’t just a story for one generation. The voices of these confined teens reach across time and age, calling out to anyone standing on the threshold of growth.

Synopsis
One day, a group of teenagers wake up in an unfamiliar place. Their only way out of this windowless room—empty except for a single bathroom—is locked tight. Bewildered and clueless, they scramble for escape. They shout, pound the walls, each searching desperately in their own way. In the frantic struggle and clashing energies, their true stories begin to surface…
