Entering Adulthood at 18

At age 18, people shine with the brilliance of youth. However, for some, it means they must stand on their own two feet. Yoon-ho and Min-cheol trace the death of Seong-jin, a friend from their days at the orphanage who died at the age of 18. Actor and playwright of Eighteen: The Age of Adulthood Park Do-ryeong based the play on his own experience of growing up in an orphanage. He carefully unfolds stories that he was not able to share with anyone before but hoped someone would recognize. It’s time to lend an ear to them.

Synopsis

Seong-jin, Yoon-ho and Min-cheol grow up together in an orphanage like brothers. When they turn 18, they must leave the orphanage with nothing but a 3 million KRW stipend. Shortly after being released into society, Seon-jin takes his own life. Yoon-ho and Min-cheol agonize over the inexplicable death of their friend. Ten years later, the two young men visit Seong-jin’s grave and encounter a mysterious woman.
